CHANGING YOUR SUBSCRIPTION
CHANGING YOUR SUBSCRIPTION
You can adjust your Deck subscription level at any time. This includes moving up to a more feature-rich plan or scaling down to a simpler one. Depending on whether you upgrade or downgrade, and whether you pay monthly or annually, the timing and immediate effects of the change can vary.
UPGRADING YOUR PLAN
Immediate Plan Enhancement: When you upgrade to a higher-level Deck plan, you instantly gain access to additional features and increased usage limits.
Billing Adjustments: Upgrades are processed right away. If you move up mid-cycle, you’ll be charged a prorated amount that covers the cost difference for the remainder of your current billing period.
New Billing Cycle: Your subscription’s renewal date resets to the date of your upgrade. From that point forward, your billing follows your new plan’s regular cycle and pricing.
DOWNGRADING YOUR PLAN
End-of-Cycle Changes: When you switch to a lower-level plan, the change won’t take effect until your current billing cycle finishes. Until then, you maintain the features of your existing plan.
No Mid-Cycle Refunds: Since downgrades occur at the end of the paid period, there are no mid-term refunds. Your billing adjusts to the new, lower rate when your next billing cycle begins.
Feature Adjustments: At the start of your next cycle, certain features or usage limits available only at higher tiers may no longer be accessible.
SWITCHING BETWEEN MONTHLY AND ANNUAL BILLING
From Monthly to Annual: If you switch from monthly to annual billing, you’ll be charged a prorated amount to cover your new yearly subscription. Annual plans often offer cost savings over the monthly equivalent.
From Annual to Monthly: If you go from annual to monthly billing, the new monthly rates begin after your current annual term ends. You’ll continue using your current features until the annual period is finished, and then you move to monthly billing at that time.
Note: These rules ensure you always receive the features you’ve paid for before transitioning to a different plan. If you’re unsure about any aspect of upgrading or downgrading, consider reaching out to the Deck support team for guidance.
